Accounts Receivable and Payable

A receivable or payable account is not used for financial transactions. It is made up of normal accounts (that are associated to different customers or different suppliers).

Example: 401000 Customer : account of customer “Customer1”.

For each receivable account associated to a customer, the corresponding normal accounts are given the customer’s code (see the Customer maintenance page).

For each payable account associated to a supplier, the corresponding normal accounts are given the supplier’s code (see the Vendor maintenance page).

Cost Center Accounts

nVC Once the Costing functions (Preference function, File menu) have been activated, an account can be associated to a cost centre (see the Cost Centers maintenance page). Each entry in this account corresponds to one of the cost centers.

Total amounts can be displayed in function of the different cost centers and can be decomposed according to the type of entry.

Group Accounts

No entry is associated to a group account which is used to record the monthly check. Total of the debit and of the credit for all the accounts whose first digits are the same as the first digits of the group account.

Example: 1- Class 1 Funds include all the total amounts for the accounts whose first digit is 1.

Example: 6425xxxx includes all the total amounts for the accounts whose four first digits are 6425.

Such group accounts are used in order to estimate easily the total amounts of the different accounts. This is particularly useful in the definition of the accounts statements.

Accounts with 1, 2 or 3 digits can be assumed to be group accounts.
