Bill of Material Maintenance

Fields

Item Id:

Code of the item which one wants to examine and modify the .BOMs.

Type:

Select, in the dropdown list, the bill of material type.

Variant:

 For Manufacturing type BOMs, select the BOM variant in the dropdown list.

The active BOM (the one which is selected on the Item window, Routing tab) is noted by the * sign.

The bills of material already recorded (which have links) are noted with the + sign.

Reference Date:

 Enter the reference date of the bills of material.

This date is used to select the active links when the lists are displayed.

Maintenance

Displays the Product Structure Record Maintenance window.

Graphs

Displays the graphic representation of the multi level bill of material

Duplicate

Lets you duplicate the bill of material variant of the selected item for another item. You enter the code of the item on which you want to affect the bill of material. See Bills of Material Duplication.

Replace

Lets you replace the selected item for all its uses and for the selected bill of material. See Mass Replacement of a component.

Compare

Lets you compare two bills of material. See Bills of Material Comparison.

Delete

Deletes all the products structure records of the bill of material.

After execution of this function the item will not have any product structure record any more in the selected bill of material.

Inquiry Buttons

Single Level BOM

Displays the first level product structure records list (or Single Level Bill of Material) valid on the reference date.

Multi Level BOM

Displays the Multi Level Bill of Material on the reference date.

Summarized BOM

Displays the Summarized Bill of Material on the reference date.

Purchasing BOM

Displays the Purchase Bill of Material on the reference date.

Single level Where-used

Displays the list of the single level where-used of the item on the reference date.

Multi level Where-used

Displays the list of the multi level where-used on the reference date.

Cumulative Where-used

Displays the top level items which use the item as well as the total usage coefficient for each of them (Cumulative Where-used).
Note: this function selects only the links corresponding to the selected BOM variant for each component (as specified on the Item Routings tab).

Work Loads

 Computes the work loads induced by the manufacturing of one unit of this item and of its components down to the lowest level on every work center. See Work Loads Calculation.
