Change Site

To work within a distribution center, one must shift from the plant to a distribution center.  The functions relating to a distribution center are much simpler than those layed out in the plant: only inventories are seen, only the inventory transactions relating to the distribution center are considered and one can proceed only to inventory transaction functions (Receiving and Sales Order Shipping) relating to the distribution center.

To change site, select the Change site option in the File menu or click on the  button on the main window.

A list appears on which the first line corresponds to the plant and the following lines are the distribution centers.

To change site, click on a line in the list or on a distribution center icon or on the plant icon.

When a distribution center is selected, the main window is modified:  the icons accessing functions disappear and are replaced by:

•      the Sales menu which gives access to the commercial data (forecasts, customers and orders) relating to the distribution center.

•      The Distribution menu which makes it possible to carry out a DRP for the distribution center and to manage the corresponding transfer orders.

•      The Inventory menu which makes it possible to carry out movements from the plant to the distribution center and to visualize the inventory of the distribution center.

When a distribution center is selected, the Search, Next and Previous buttons on an item field present only the list of the items managed in the distribution center, i.e. for which a reorder policy has been defined.
