Check Component Availability

The Check component availability option enables one to bind the scheduling of a WO of a parent item to the schedule of the work orders of its components. If this option is not activated, it is possible that some required components not be available in inventory at the beginning of a planned operation.

If this option is activated, the system estimates projected inventories and plans an operation only if the required components are available on this date.

One can see the projected transactions on the items on the workshop event list.
