The In-transit Transfer Orders function (Distribution menu) describes the transfer orders that are in-transit, i.e. the transfer orders which have been dispatched at least partially from the central site and not yet completely delivered into the distribution centers.
When the central site is selected, it is possible to display all the in transit transfer orders for all the distribution centers. When a specific distribution center is selected, one can access only the in-transit transfer orders toward this distribution center.
One finds the following details related to each in-transit transfer order:
• the shipped quantity which is equal to the sum of the different partial shipment that have been carried out,
• the remain to ship quantity to be dispatched which is equal to the difference between the quantity of the transfer order and the shipped quantity
• the received quantity which is equal to the sum of the receptions recorded by the Transfer Orders Receiving function (Distribution menu).
• the in transit quantity which is equal to the shipped quantity that has not yet been delivered.
A listing of these different shippings can be visualized by clicking on the In Transit button.
The History button displays the list of the inventory transactions for the transfer order (either in the plant, or in the warehouse).
The Close the TO button enables one to close the transfer order. However, it is required that no partial shipment remains in transit.
