Master Production Schedule Master Production ScheduleThe Master Production Schedule (MPS) function permits one to manually optimize the production schedule for the items at the top of the BOM’s before the implementation of the MRP procedure.
The MPS window displays the list of MPS items (this definition is made in each Item management window by selecting the option MPS Item).
From the Master Production Schedule management window, the production schedules for the MPS items can be accessed (by selecting a line and by clicking on the Master Sch. button). This window corresponds to the Item Master Schedule management window. For a given MPS item, this window displays
•the working days (corresponding to the selected period),
•the sales forecasts for the MPS item,
•the sales orders for the MPS item,
•the internal requirements for the MPS item (corresponding to periodical middle-term inventory policies);
•the firm production orders for the MPS item,
•the planned production orders for the MPS item,
•the suggested production orders for the MPS item,
•the projected inventories for the MPS item (corresponding to the projected sales and the projected production orders),
•the projected days of supply for the MPS item (corresponding to the projected sales and the projected inventories),
•the projected available-to-promise for the MPS item,
•the released production orders for the MPS item,
•the suggested released production orders for the MPS item,
•the number of released production orders for the MPS.
