The window displaying the open work order costs can be accessed by clicking on the Costs button in the Open WO window or from the Control menu. This window displays the allocated Work in progress value, estimated from the production transactions and the materials releases.
The window displays five tabs:
• Materials: This panel displays the following data:
o Receipts : The quantities of each part that have been taken in the inventory and given as available material for future production,
o Issues : The quantities of each part that have been actually used for the production of the order,
o In Proc. : The quantities of each part that have been received from the inventory, but not used for the production. These quantities have to be sent back into the corresponding inventory.
o Standard cost : the standard cost
o Value: value of the receipts, estimated with the standard cost.
• Machines : for each operation, the following data are displayed:
o Std hours: the standard allocated machine time (equal to the set-up time plus the processing time multiplied by the work order size),
o Used Hours: the machine time actually used (as given in the production reporting documents),
o Qty processed: the number of parts processed (at this operation level),
o Standard cost : the standard cost,
o WIP Value: value of the work-in-process, estimated with the standard cost.
• Setup labor: for each operation, the following data are displayed:
o Std hours: the standard allocated labor setup time,
o Used Hours: the labor setup time actually used (as given in the production reporting documents),
o Standard cost : the standard cost,
o WIP Value: value of the work-in-process, estimated with the standard cost.
• Direct Labor: for each operation, the following data are displayed:
o Std hours: the standard allocated direct labor time (equal to the labor processing time multiplied by the work order size),
o Used Hours: the direct labor time actually used (as given in the production reporting documents),
o Qty processed: the number of parts processed (at this operation level),
o Standard cost : the standard cost,
o WIP Value: value of the work-in-process, estimated with the standard cost.
• In process: this table displays a summary of the costs previously calculated.
