Planned Transfer Orders

One can display the transfer orders planned by the DRP calculation via the Planned Transfer Orders function (Distribution menu).

A transfer order defines

•      the item to transfer

•      the involved distribution center

•      the quantity to transfer

•      the ship date and the required due date (in the distribution center)

•      one can add a priority index, which could be used in the final scheduling

The weight of the transfer is calculated by multiplying the quantity by the weight of the item.

This transfer order can be removed by clicking on the Delete button. It is worth noting that these transfer orders are generated only by the DRP calculation. One cannot create such a planned transfer order manually.

A planned transfer order can be transformed into a firm transfer order by either clicking on the Firm Order button or on the Planned to Firm TO Conversion function (Distribution menu).
