Routing revisions are not managed when working at the basic level.
Routings benefit from frequent modifications representing the improvements brought by the engineering department to the manufacturing process. A routing may be modified many times. Each is referred to by a chronological revision code.
When you create a routing, the revision code 00 is allocated. It is what we call the master routing.
To create a new revision, you duplicate the routing within another revision number and you can therefore modify its operations. The 00 ‘revision number’ can not be deleted if other revisions exist.
You indicate for every routing/revision an effective date. The ending date is automatically computed: it is the day before the effective date of the routing/next revision. The last revision of the routing has 12/31/9999 as ending date.
The routings window lets you enter and update the routing heading and display the sequence of routing operations. In addition, you may see there the sum of times relative to the standard batch.
