By clicking on the Schedule button, it is possible to schedule the order forwards or backwards, with or without overlapping.
Before any work order scheduling takes place, the machine schedule must be created, either by a previous schedule, or by clicking on the Prepare button which leads to the Create Schedule function on the finite capacity-scheduling page.
If the work order can be scheduled, its scheduled start and finish dates and times are displayed. The table displays the scheduling dates corresponding to the different work order operations. Once a work order has been scheduled, if can be ‘de-schedule it’ by clicking on the corresponding button.
When the cell
Overlapping is
selected, the scheduling process (with overlapping) is activated (under the
different overlapping options).
One can impose
a beginning date for scheduling if a forward scheduling is chosen or a
completion date if a backward scheduling is chosen. This date can be selected
from the Calendar
button.
One can also
‘freeze’ the scheduling of a work order, i.e. its schedule will not be changed
during a forthcoming scheduling.
