The BOM duplication function makes it possible to copy all the product structure records of the selected BOM into another manufactured item BOM or another BOM type or another BOM variant.
The product structure records are duplicated and they can then be modified. This function saves time when several items have close BOMs.
The procedure is as follows:
•Select the parent item, the BOM type and the BOM variant,
•Click on Duplicate button; the window title is modified to “BOM Duplication”; the Cancel button allows to cancel the procedure,
•Enter the destination item code (can be the same), the BOM type and the BOM variant,
•Click again on the Duplicate button.
Note: The destination item can be the source item if the type and/or the variant are different.
