Inventory transactions track material flows: issue of parts for production and receipt into inventory of finished parts. The inventory transactions reflect internal flows (issue of components bound for manufacture and stock entry of the products manufactured) and external (receiving of purchase orders and forwarding of customer orders).

The system maintains an Inventories file which contains the inventory quantities by Item-Warehouse-Status, the beginning inventory (updated at the last closing) as well as the total receipts and issues (in quantity only).

For each transaction, an inventory transaction is recorded (which is deleted on inventory closing).

Inventory levels can be found in the Item Maintenance Window. There, you can find the following:

the beginning inventory quantity and value,

the total receipt quantity and value,

      the total issues.
