Fields

Link Id:

Obligatory field (3 numeric characters).
If the sequence number exists data is displayed.

Component Id:

Code of the component item (obligatory).
If the code exists, its description and units are displayed.

Quantity Required:

Ratio defined as the Quantity of the component over the quantity of parent item indicated in the next field.

/ Parent Quantity:

 Quantity of component used as a reference for the above quantity.

Fixed scrap:

 This lets you indicate a fixed quantity of scrap of a component during the manufacturing process.

Proproportionnal. scrap:

 This lets you indicate the scrap percentage on the link (that means the scrap percentage on the component during the manufacturing of the parent item).

This information is used in the MRP calculation to determine the required quantity of the component.

Offset:

 This lets you indicate in number of days the offset of the requirement of the component relative to the release date of the parent item.

Operation Id:

 Optional numeric field. Lets you indicate the operation number of the routing where the component is consumed.

This number is used if the manufacturing lead time is calculated from routings and if components are linked to each operation (see Advanced Planning Options, Planning chapter).

Start Date:

 Starting Date of validity of the link.

End Date:

 Ending Date of validity of the link.

The program displays the state of the link (if it is active or not) relative to the reference date indicated on the previous window.
